Accommodation Financial Management Clerk

THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Hospitality Director, the Accommodation Financial Management Clerk performs accounting functions for all centrally billed accounts. They stamp invoices/credits with applicable stamp, records payment due/credit and inputs all required information into the Accounting Program. Verify accuracy and integrity of financial statements and other management reports. They also provides clerical and administrative support to the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, Bookkeeping or a related field AND some years of experience in accounting or a related field

Experience

  • In accounts payable and receivable
  • In Automated Accounting System software
  • In data entry, record-keeping and retrieval techniques
  • In drafting correspondence and reports
  • In office administration
  • In invoice processing
  • In maintaining electronic and manual filing systems
  • In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential, Bilingual an asset

Reading: Functional

Writing: Advanced

Oral: Functional
