Aquatics Supervisor

This is a Contract position in Petawawa, ON posted May 10, 2022.

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator, the Aquatics Supervisor assists with the planning, organizing, and coordinating of the delivery of Base/Wing/Unit (B/W/U) aquatic programs. They assist with developing and amending policies and procedures. The Aquatics Supervisor monitors, evaluates and recommends improvements to the B/W/U aquatic programs. They supervise and instruct aquatic training sessions.


Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma and several years of experience in a related field

Current CPR C and Basic First Aid qualifications

Current National Lifeguard (NL) qualifications; both NL Pool and NL Waterfront

Current Red Cross Instructor/Lifesaving Society Advanced Instructor

HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development Certificate

HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children Certificate

HIGH FIVE Quest 2 (an asset)

HIGH FIVE PHCD Instructor (an asset)


In evaluating, planning, preparing, organizing, conducting and coordinating the delivery of aquatic programs

In instructing training sessions

In applying policies, procedures and regulations

In supervising employees and the work of volunteers

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.


English Essential / Bilingual an asset

Reading: Functional

Writing: Functional
