Area Sales Associate, Retail Excellence – Ontario

Job Description Summary: The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving key company objectives.

This position has a high degree of accountability for Brokers and Distributors Retail Performance and In-Store Market Conditions.

The Area Sales Manager will support retail efforts and will provide key information to management to ensure short-term and mid-term objectives are met.

Revised Essential duties and responsibilities Increase the brands visibility and in-store presence on for the core brands Communicate key performance indicators to drive accountability at retail Review scorecards to track, monitor and improve in-store results Ensure Bel retail priorities are being executed by the broker and distributor retail team Ensure key banner strategies are communicated and executed at store level Implementation of broker contest to drive engagement and to improve results Training and development of our broker and distributors retail teams Conduct frequent market visits and engage broker and distributor partners at retail level and find ways to accelerate performance Execution of retail initiatives that define the go-to-market approach for in-store excellence Direct coordination of point-of-sale and merchandising materials for broker and distributor partner retail teams Qualifications and Competencies: Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor degree and/or equivalent experience required Minimum of 7 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably involving broker sales management and supervision Specific competencies required: Proven ability to develop and execute an effective retail sales strategy; meeting the needs of internal team members, broker partners, distributors and customers.

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to persuasively influence decisions Good at building internal and external cross-functional relationships Demonstration of ability to train and develop internal and external team members Results-driven with a high sense of urgency and a passion to drive closure and deliver results Ability to analyze syndicated data.

Systems: experience with trade management tools is a plus.

Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft suite).

Autonomous in the usage of Nielsen database and some knowledge of retailers database.

Languages: English; French is a plus Travel: up to 70% business travel is required; including time working the retail environment
