THE ROLE
The Associate Investment Funds Advisor supports clients on implementing investment strategies to assist them in achieving their goals. They assist in the client discovery process through pre-meeting information gathering and subsequent delivery to advisor. They greet clients and potential clients, ascertain nature of business and direct them to the appropriate person or determine needs and/or start next phase. They organize marketing activities on behalf of advisory professionals. They support business growth of assigned branches through telemarketing and outbound calls, prepare client/prospect call lists and track progress, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field
Current Mutual Funds License (MFDA/AMF) with either Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) Course or Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
Investment Funds Course (IFC)
Certified Financial Planner, an asset
Experience
In providing advice to clients
In investment services
In working in a branch environment
In providing assistance to financial professionals
In using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
In transactional account and client records management
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
