THE ROLE
Since its inception, Hylands Golf Club has matured into a top-quality golf facility that offers a full range of services and amenities to its 1200 members and their guests. A true jewel among Canadian Forces golf facilities, Hylands continues to host numerous regional, national and international events. As part of CFMWS, our mandate is to provide affordable golf to our local military personnel and their families.
As a Bartender, you provide an excellent customer experience for our golf clubhouse operations. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions.
The Bartender will provide a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system, provide a clean bar area and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations. Full availability is required as shifts range from mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario
Must possess a Smart Serve Certification
Experience
In serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
In cash handling
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual Essential

This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the UFCW local 175 bargaining unit at CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau.
