THE ROLE
Since its inception, Hylands Golf Club has matured into a top-quality golf facility that offers a full range of services and amenities to its 1200 members and their guests. A true jewel among Canadian Forces golf facilities, Hylands continues to host numerous regional, national and international events. As part of CFMWS, our mandate is to provide affordable golf to our local military personnel and their families.
If you enjoy the outdoors and want to work in a first-class golf course setting with a dynamic team, Hylands Golf Club is the perfect place to work. As an integral part of the ground’s maintenance department, as a golf course worker, you will be trained on different equipment in order to maintain all playing surfaces on a 36-hole golf course. You will maintain greens, tee box areas, turf on fairways, sand traps and rough. You will also maintain and repair golf course outbuildings, fences, bridges, nets and screens and repair and fill fairway and tee divots.
As the golf course worker, you will also be responsible for basic horticultural duties such as planting and pruning trees, shrubs and flowers, creating and maintaining flowerbeds, laying sod and applying water. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered

Valid driver’s license class G (Ontario) or equivalent
Experience
In landscaping or golf course maintenance
In operating specialized turf care equipment
Knowledge
Of grounds keeping practices and techniques
Of health and safety practices
Of golf game rules and strategies
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
