Home and Electronics Sales Associate

THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Department Associate, the Home and Electronics Sales Associate provides technical and professional advice on sales and products offered. She/he assists in the set up of electronics, computers, appliances and furniture departments as per company standards. She/he assists with ordering stock and ensures that shelves are stocked, faced, rotated and properly signed. The Home and Electronics Sales Associate stays current on the latest standard operating procedure and corporate selling practice. She/he offers, explains and sells extended warranty program and accessories to meet company target. She/he operates the Point of Sales (POS) system, lottery terminal, video rental computer, data wave and debit/credit machine and maintains a float.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience

Experience

In electronics, computers equipment, furniture and/or appliances

In cash handling

Some retail and/or sales experience

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential / Bilingual an asset

Reading: Basic

Writing: Basic

Oral: Functional
