Working at Toronto Pearson International Airport Your Team is counting on you as a Retail Operations Supervisor to: Have open and flexible availability to work any shift on weekdays, weekends and holidays Work a Full-Time schedule Key Accountabilities: Maintain Feedback loop to the other departments with customer comment cards and employee opinion.

Maintain employee attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance and service, motivate, and develop staff.

Participate in the recruitment and selection of store associates.

Complete and deliver assigned associates annual performance reviews and complete monthly coaching and ongoing coaching and/or disciplinary conversations as required.

Preparation of weekly schedules, adjusting for absences and flight delays as required.

Verify staff positioning during the shift according to the shop activity, priority, coordinate holidays, and absences from the staff members.

Responsible for opening and closing the store and securing all assets.

Initiate contact with Loss Prevention Manager for all loss prevention incidents and concerns.

Ensure that store is in compliance with all Airport, Provincial and Federal employment laws/regulations.

Communicate necessary information at the beginning of shift, including targeted Sales, promotions and new products, company policies and procedures.

Organize and coordinate shift plans.

Track the daily sales, Identify if any issue in the shop affecting the weekly sales, and communicate it to the Terminal Manager or appropriate category manager.

Improve the Customer experience through excellent operation standards (cleaning, stocking, front facing etc.) ensuring correct pricing and checking expiry dates.

Supervise inventory counting at the end of shift, conduct staff bag checks.

Assists in preparation for full inventory count, lead the actual count ensuring that the staff and areas to be counted are prepared and ready for the count.

Oversee assigned category, including product RTV, price changes, merchandising standards, promotional changeovers, sets stock levels and communicates concerns to Planning and Replenishment analysts.

Implement marketing strategy, ensuring product supply and coordinates team.

Assume Terminal Managers responsibility in his/her absence.

Ensure all health & safety protocols are adhered to at all times.

Perform all other responsibilities as directed by the business or senior leadership team of which the team member is capable of performing.

Required Qualifications: 3 years of retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Strong Leadership Skills.

Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and motivate employees.

Understanding of basic retail concepts.

Strong working knowledge of all airport operations.

Demonstrates understanding of Company standards and practices related to retail operations, including cash and inventory control, markdown compliance, merchandise handling and shrink management.

Good Problem solving skills.

Ability to deal with stressful situation in a diplomatic and professional manner.

Open and flexible availability.
