IIE Engineer


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted May 13, 2021.

Description The opportunity We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join the Identity & Infrastructure Engineering team in Canada.

Working closely with colleagues in the UK, you’ll have a global remit to help manage and support key underlying corporate systems, including Microsoft Active Directory, Okta single sign-on, internal DNS, Identity Manager (One Identity) and more We’re responsible for Identity & Access Management, covering both the tools and the processes involved.

We’re split between BAU support and agile-based projects, and the successful individual would be involved in both areas.

Key Responsibilities Owning and resolving reported 3rd line issues, proactively identifying issues and resolving before they cause an impact, completing project work independently and adhering to processes Problem solving
– intermediate to advanced troubleshooting skills, including the use of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Azure Analytics, Cloudwatch and perfmon Managing Active Directory, Okta and Identity Manager and migrating applications to Okta for SSO and lifecycle management Delivering quality
– providing detailed, timely updates on user issues, autonomously producing documentation and updating production incident tickets Communicating
– transparently communicating at an appropriate technical level to the wider Enterprise IT team and more senior project stakeholders Working with others
– Working with others within the IIE team, wider EIT team and other parts of tech Your Profile & Experience You must have: Experience of Windows Server configuration, operation and troubleshooting Experience with Performance monitoring / alerting Advanced Active Directory experience, with a focus on security Experience / skills around Microsoft infrastructure services (DHCP, DNS, DFS etc) Experience troubleshooting complicated issues that may affect multiple users or sites A general understanding of PKI You’ll have an advantage if you have: Experience using Okta or Microsoft Azure AD Knowledge of Microsoft ADFS General experience of SSO and user provisioning Operating and monitoring servers using AWS Scripting (Powershell/Python for eg) Experience with automation of infrastructure deployment/infrastructure as code What It’s Like to Work At Skip: Picture this: you, dressed in your fave casual attire, amongst a team of friendly and passionate colleagues.
