THE ROLE
Under the supervision of Manager, Client and Advisory Services, the Licensed Financial Services Assistant supports clients on implementing investment strategies to assist them in achieving their goals. She/he assists in client discovery process through pre-meeting information gathering and subsequent delivery to advisor. She/he greets clients and potential clients, ascertains nature of business and directs to the appropriate person or determines needs and/or start next phase. She/he organizes marketing activities on behalf of advisory professionals. She/he supports business growth of assigned branches through telemarketing and outbound calls, prepares client/prospect call lists and tracks progress, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration or a related field
AND
Some years of experience in office administration, banking or a related field
Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) License
Experience
Experience in providing administrative services in a financial planning, counselling and/or insurance environment
Experience in office administration
Experience in maintaining filing systems
Experience in proofreading
Experience in data entry, data manipulation, record-keeping and retrieval techniques
Experience in drafting correspondence and reports
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential
