Johnson & Johnson Medical Companies (JJMDC), a division of Johnson & Johnson Inc., markets and distributes medical device and diagnostic solutions for use in institutional and primary health care settings across Canada.

JJMDC focuses on providing minimally invasive treatment options spanning various medical procedures and disease states.

Among the products represented by its various business units: surgical instruments, orthopedic implants, wound closure, haemostatic products, cardiovascular and neurovascular diagnostics and treatment.

Position Overview: The Customer Solutions Manager is integral to delivering JJMDC’s evolving value proposition in the Canadian marketplace.

The customer Solutions Manager will report directly to the Director of Customer Solutions and work with a wide variety of cross-functional partners across the organization, Working closely with the Strategic Account Managers and the Field sales organization the Manager will be responsible for developing and executing customer solutions strategies for the entire JJMDC solution portfolio, The Manager will lead the implementation of clinical pathway solutions and develop strategic partnerships with healthcare providers in key strategic accounts.

The manager is accountable for creating value for customers measured by: clinical outcomes, quality of care, financial performance/efficiency and patient experience.

This role will play a critical role in providing “voice of customer” feedback to the organization to ensure that JJMDC solutions continue to help healthcare providers address their most pressing needs.

By ensuring flawless execution of solution deployment and articulating the value created by solutions to customers, the Manager will play a critical role accelerating JJMDC growth and building long-term strategic partnerships with key customers across Canada.

Key Responsibilities Identifies Customer Needs/Insights
– leveraging a deep understanding of the challenges facing the Canadian hospital as they strive to deliver excellent patient care with limited resources, the Manager will work closely with the Strategic Account Team and franchise team to identify key customer needs.

The manager will focus on shaping the environment towards value and outcomes-based health care.

Project Management: Acting as the project manager for solutions implementation, the Manager will leverage a combination of internal and external resources to ensure a flawless execution of the strategy for specific customers.

The Manager will be accountable to ensure project timelines, goals and costs are achieved.

Internal Partnerships This role requires a high degree of collaboration with multiple levels of management across commercial teams and SCG leadership.

This role handles a high degree of complexity across multiple JJMDCC Franchises and strategic accounts across Canada.

The candidate will demonstrate the ability to cultivate strong and positive relationships in the commercial organization as necessary.

Creates JJMDC Value suite of solutions: The Manager will leverage initiatives and solutions to create a suite of clinical pathway solutions from other markets that are relevant to the specific unmet needs of Canadian hospitals.

The Manager will ensure that the solutions leverage JJMDC’s broad product portfolio to deliver unique value to the Canadian customer.

Identifies capabilities needed for future growth harnessing new technologies, partnerships, and go-to-market models.

Creates tools to support communication with customers about the value of partnership with JJMDC: Develops messages, tools and success stories for Strategic Account Managers to communicate the value that JJMDC can provide to the customer.

Partners with Health economic team to create value add business solutions for non-clinical stakeholders.

Develops Creative Contracting Mechanisms which incorporate innovative Value-Added Services.

Works with Healthcare Compliance, Legal and Business leaders to develop and template commercial agreements Qualifications A minimum of a BS/BA is required, advanced degree (MBA / MS) is preferred 5-7 years of relevant experience in commercial/business operations, project management, hospital administration and/or healthcare buying groups (GPOs) within the healthcare industry Medical device experience preferred.

Strong business insight and proven understanding of the end to end business cycle Strong customer focus with superior negotiation and influencing skills Big picture orientation and generalist ability to represent broader organization across many diverse business areas.

Proven ability to nurture strong business relationships across a matrixed organization.

Strong social, teamwork competencies: within and across organizations, globally.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Strong project management and financial management skills Preferred Bilingual Strategic Account management experience Strong track record of successful engagement with clinical & non-clinical stakeholders on commercial matters Strong digital acumen and understanding of the evolving digital healthcare environment Experience working with Legal, Regulatory, Procurement, as well as global partners on joint value partnerships.
