National Sales and Marketing Consultant

Extendicare Canada Inc.

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted July 29, 2022.

SGP is a Purchasing Partner Focused organization committed to providing unmatched customer service, comprehensive network support, and innovative solutions to the Senior Care Market. Defined by our customized and focused programs and services SGP understands our partners business and we are dedicated to ensuring optimum network performance for our Partner’s procurement needs.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director National Sales. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with Marketing, Sales and Procurement Team to Deliver high quality, responsive service and support to all SGP Partners.

 

Accountabilities

  • Acts as an extension of the sales team to clients, suppliers, corporate office 
  • Handles inbound/outbound client, supplier & distributor inquiries via multiple communication vehicles such as, telephone, email & fax  
  • Promotes & markets SGP Purchasing Partner Network program, products, & services 
  • Assists in the planning & execution of Trade Shows, Supplier Shows, Education Days, Menu Planning Days and other special events: client retention programs, compliance, & promotion of sales growth 
  • Office administrative duties: manage client database, internal scope of website, client files, association contacts, mass mailings, login credentials, sales team pipeline etc.
  • Develops marketing materials: brochures, ads, newsletters, and event materials
  • Analyze customer problems & take appropriate action to ensure needs are met
  • Performs some outside sales functions to support SGP customer base as required by sales team
  • Call existing customers to review SGP program
  • Assess new client contracts ensuring appropriate pricing and signatures are acquired
  • Create and distribute vendor notifications for new and terminated clients to all our contracted suppliers
  • Maintain client contact and activity database
  • Send information via email, phone or fax to clients (i.e. surveys, recalls and updates, advertising of special promotional items, information sharing, etc.)
  • Maintain content of marketing materials as well development of new marketing materials 
  • Updating Customer Sales & Support for Salesforce Users. Troubleshooting System.
  • Ensure integrity of Client and Supplier master data
  • Support sales team with price quotes, sourcing product info and presentations
  • Act as a key representative of Marketing working collaboratively with other business units and the communications team in particular to identify and help support campaigns to drive awareness of key initiatives.
  • Provide assistance in working with team members and manage daily requests related to marketing programs including promotions, and applicable liaising with internal stakeholders for approvals. 
  • Be part of a team that oversees and implements marketing programs and initiatives to support SGP/Assist business activities. 
  • Help manage coordination and execution of Marketing programs, relationships with clients/partners and internal creative and content teams for creative development 
  • As assigned by project, act as the main point of contact in SGP/Assist Marketing
  • Support and develop targeted marketing and communication plans. 
  • Coordinate relationships with internal creative and content teams for creative development and marketing program support. 
  • Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and other launch events related to Exhibitions
  • Support all other marketing campaigns and other administrative duties as required

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Entrepreneurial natured, marketing/sales-minded with outgoing personality 
  • Customer-focused attitude; able to understand, anticipate, identify customer needs; good listening skills 
  • Detail orientated with ability to prioritize & organize multiple tasks, projects 
  • Analytical with ability to source solutions, resolve client issues, & answer client inquiries in a timely, customer focused manner 
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative 
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Adobe Acrobat, and Power Point, etc.) and Social Media Platforms
  • Salesforce Experience an asset
  • Sound mathematical skills is an asset 
  • Has a sound understanding of database structure and use
  • Learns quickly without direction
  • Works efficiently and independently under pressure
  • Delivers commitments on time with necessary communication to appropriate parties
  • Accepts responsibility and ownership for issues
  • Portrays a positive, solution-oriented attitude in the workplace
  • A minimum of 2 years marketing, communications experience, preferably in the senior living market or health care
  • Effective communication skills with fluency in English 
  • A professional, who is a self-starter and driven for success
  • Strong Organizational skills 
  • Bilingual in French & English an asset
  • Post secondary school education with emphasis on sales/marketing and/or nutrition services or three – five years’ related experience is an asset 
  • Valid driver’s license (may have limited provincial and national travel)
