Project Coordinator Development Manager

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced leader who enjoys sharing knowledge, making connections and is passionate about playing a key role in developing our Project Coordinator and Engineers across Aecon.

The Project Coordinator / Project Engineer (PC/PE) Development Manager is responsible for managing and enhancing the delivery of foundational knowledge and skills to all coordinator/engineers across the enterprise.

Including: Maintaining and updating all aspects of the Handbook, PC/PE Program Curriculum (in collaboration with Aecon University), MS Teams Channel and Core Competencies Tool for the enterprise.

Launching and maintaining the core competencies model as a part of career planning and development for PC/PEs Serve as a key resource to PC/PE’s requiring special career management, individual development planning and mentoring.

Support professional development initiatives of the team members, where required.

Reporting to the Executive Sponsors of PC/PE Development
– the Senior Vice President
– Aecon Civil East and the Senior Vice President
– Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities Assume ownership over the PC Handbook, PC/PE Program & Teams Channel
– ongoing updates, communication of key updates, integration of new material based on areas of greatest business need.

Accountable for leading the PC/PE Program for all Aecon employees.

Collaborate with Aecon University in managing the PC/PE Program.

Coordinate and align with sector SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) in regular updates to the handbook and program curriculum and develop new curriculum in areas of greatest business need.

Monitor, track and report all program and performance metrics to ensure business outcomes are met.

Drives strong collaboration and communication between the OPS manager network and HR management network.

Coach and mentor coordinators/engineers through career challenges and support career development.

Lead implementation of the core competencies model to all coordinators/engineers across the enterprise.

Ensure consistency as first position approver in SAP Access Requests for all enterprise coordinators.

Required Knowledge and Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field required.


Eng is required 10 years construction experience required, with broad knowledge in project controls fundamentals.
