Your Opportunity: An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse
– In-Patient Surgery looking to work to their full-scope of practice and whom has a passion for providing Patient and Family Centered Care at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, located in the energetic and vibrant community of Fort McMurray.

As our Registered Nurse, you will be working on our In-Patient Surgery Unit, within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing our values (AHS Cares) and Patient First Strategy in your practice to provide leading care to Albertans.

As our Registered Nurse, you will be providing leadership in nursing assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation across a continuum of care, with the purpose of providing safe, quality care for patients and their families while reflecting the shared vision of Alberta Health Services.

You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and Alberta Health Services policies and procedures.

You will also play a key role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to the patient’s care, health promotion and health maintenance.

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480.

This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being.

In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.

You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.

You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support
– Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
