Your Opportunity: The town of High Level is located in the scenic northwestern reaches of Alberta.

This is a temporary full-time Respiratory Therapy position for 12 months with the possibility of change to the length of the position.

This position is based out of the Northwest Health Centre in High Level and is responsible for the Respiratory Therapy program in the communities of High Level, La Crete and Fort Vermilion.

It is an opportunity to work to in a variety of clinical settings in a rural environment.

This includes working with a multidisciplinary team in acute care, long term care and outpatient settings.

This position will give you the opportunity to work with clients of all ages as you provide Respiratory Services to the area.

In addition to a competitive rate of pay and benefit package, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300.

This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description: As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress.

You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions.

You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes.

You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
