This is a Contract position in Brantford, ON posted April 30, 2021.

Job Description As a Screener, you will be supporting Mackenzie Health by providing information and direction to patients and visitors, while administering screening requirements as per applicable directives during the Pandemic.

While demonstrating an empathetic and sensitive manner to all and making every effort to communicate access to facilities and services to visitors, patients and family, your role is to ensure that access to the Hospital is not compromised.

You will be required to assist with all entry/exit requirements as needed and may be needed to assist with other tasks related to operational needs as a result of the Pandemic.

Contribute to safe, quality care by Administer screening requirements as required.

Instruct and observe patients to follow proper hand hygiene protocols and provide procedure masks if required during their visit.

Provide information including assisting with directions around the hospital.

Escort patients and/or visitors to various areas within the hospital.

Deal with patient and visitor inquiries/concerns in a professional, respectful and courteous manner.

Contributing to a safe, inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.

What must you have?

Current enrollment in high school, a University or College program required.

At least 16 years of age.

Ability to work all shifts including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What else do you bring?

Able to walk comfortably throughout the hospital.

Proven attendance record.

Able to communicate effectively and assertively with others, demonstrates good interpersonal skills Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
