Senior Data Engineer, Digital Marketing Analytics – 12 month contract

Position Overview:
Come join a fast-paced and growing analytics team that works closely with in-house media execution partners. We’re looking for a technical analyst familiar with digital media/digital advertising data to drive forward business-critical data engineering projects that are key to The Home Depot’s marketing strategy. This person will collaborate closely with experienced analytics, digital media and ad ops teams, taking up the role of data lead for THD Canada’s enterprise media platforms with the opportunity to work on innovative marketing technology and analytics projects in an enterprise cloud computing environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with in-house media execution, marketing, planning and analytics partners.
  • Utilize digital media advertising data to drive forward business-critical data engineering projects, that are key to THD’s marketing strategy
  • Collaborate closely with experienced analytics, digital media and ad ops teams, taking up the role of data lead for THD Canada’s enterprise media platforms, with the opportunity to work on innovative marketing technology and analytics projects in an enterprise cloud computing environment
  • Design and build data strategy and roadmaps to support digital media, marketing and analytics
  • Utilize your experience to guide and advise on best practices for delivering scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and improve the current marketing data architecture, quality, and reportability

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years of of experience working with SQL
  • 2+ years of Python experience, or other scripting skills
  • 3+ years of experience managing and orchestrating data for analytics downstream users
  • Self-starter with the ability to proactively come up with data engineering solutions and independently manage tasks
  • Knowledge and experience of enterprise digital media platforms such as Google Marketing Platform (DV360, SA360, CM) and/or Facebook Ads
  • Experience working in GCP or other enterprise cloud computing environment
  • Experience working with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics clickstream data
  • Ecommerce and/or retail analytics experience
  • Ads Data Hub experience is a plus
