We are the face of TELUS’ differentiated growth strategy and leading business execution to the investment community, and a trusted advisor to senior TELUS leaders, regularly partnering with a wide range of our executive leadership team.

Through our regular interactions, we build and foster strong external relationships with investment analysts and investors through our excellence in public disclosure, and by demonstrating a high level of integrity and responsiveness through other communications.

We are a trusted partner and advisor to senior leaders at TELUS, with the aim to proactively keep them apprised of investor related developments and topics of interest, as well as developments related to our industry and peers.

We facilitate regular management interactions with the investment community, with a focus on effective participation in high quality meetings, conferences and other investor events in order to ensure our message is heard and amplified.

Here’s the impact you will make and what we’ll accomplish together As a Senior Investor Relations Analyst, you will be a key member of a small, high-performing TSX 60 Investor Relations team.

Your ability to proactively assess situations, exercise excellent judgement, take initiative and assume ownership of what needs to be done under minimal supervision, alongside your strong ability to prioritize in a dynamic and high-profile environment with unalterable timelines, will make you the right addition to our team.

You will leverage your developed relationship skills, solid aptitude for collaboration and continuous learning, and mature business acumen to build and foster strong relationships at various levels within TELUS and the investment community.

You will utilize and expand your strong research and analytical capabilities, and excellent writing skills, to research and write executive-level briefing documents for the CEO, CFO, a variety of other senior leaders, and for external inquiries and disclosures.

Your interaction with members of the investment community and senior leaders will be backed by your strong communication skills, expertise as a strategic thinker and strong capacity to listen, discern and synthesize observations from those interactions and a variety of other sources.

Your strong financial aptitude, practiced sense of judgement and strong communication skills will guide your support of interaction with analysts, associates and investors, including attending investor conferences and meetings with senior management.

Your abilities in this regard will enable you to make a significant contribution in the preparation of a range of public financial disclosure documents and, more broadly, to TELUS’ excellence in public disclosure and investor relations practices.

This role will report to the Head of Investor Relations.

Support with researching and coordinating information gathering and analysis for ad hoc inquiries and disclosure; write background notes and Q&A speaking notes for regular and ad-hoc investor calls, conferences and meetings, as well as news releases and scripts Coordinate participation in investor conferences, road shows and other meetings from planning and logistics, preparing briefing notes, attending and participating in these events, as well as writing summary and feedback reports Monitor and analyze sell-side analyst reports and market activity; track, collect and analyze analyst estimates.

Research, write and distribute daily and other regular market and competitive updates to senior leaders Perform regular shareholder monitoring and analysis in collaboration with external advisors and investor engagement; coordinate and write related communication Support external investor relations website maintenance and updating Support Executive Communications, Media and Communications, Financial Reporting and various other teams in the review and writing of news releases, financial reports and other regular and ad-hoc communications; review communication materials from various teams to ensure Corporate Disclosure Policy compliance Act as IR team lead in supporting the preparation of TELUS’ Annual Sustainability Report, as well as broader efforts to leverage TELUS’ leadership in this area including enhanced interaction with ESG-oriented investors, working closely with Sustainability, Corporate Secretary and Corporate Citizenship teams Assist and support in the development and execution of special, strategic programs, from the IR angle; provide ad-hoc IR support to other teams within finance, legal and corporate secretary, regulatory, marketing, etc Collaborate, and coordinate IR messaging and activities, with IR team members and others at majority-owned TELUS International (TI) subsidiary, in order to support tight and effective IR interlock between TELUS and TI You’re the missing piece of the puzzle Demonstrated strong financial aptitude, with refined research and analytical skills, and excellent writing skills backed by strong capacity to listen, discern and synthesize observations from multiple sources Recognized as a highly proactive and self-motivated individual, with ability to operate well under minimal supervision and in situations characterized by ambiguity, uncertainly or lack of clarity; willing to independently assess situations, take initiative and assume ownership of what needs to be done Noted for ability to self-manage, prioritize and focus on what is mission-critical, plan, organize, project manage, while operating in a high-profile, highly dynamic, ever changing environment with constantly evolving priorities that frequently a flexible mindset Valued as a rounded, strategic thinker with mature business acumen, and a highly developed sense of judgement, with ability to operate in a high-pressure environment with unalterable deadlines Demonstrated strong communication skills, a level of comfort with executive communications, and strong ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships with a myriad of various internal and external partners and stakeholders Undergraduate degree Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Google Suite Location
– Toronto or GTA area with ability to be in TELUS’ downtown Toronto office when needed Great-to-haves Experience of 2 years or more working in a key role within an Investor Relations or related team, of a TSX-listed or advisory company, or in related capital markets role at a large financial institution CFA, other financial designation, or graduate degree Capital markets experience Familiarity with or experience in the telecommunications or related technology sector Familiarity with Nasdaq IR Insight, Bloomberg or Refinitiv platforms Familiarity or involvement with CIRI or NIRI, and interest in keeping up to date with industry’s best practices and thought leadership Familiarity with SASB standards and/or a keen interest in ESG and sustainability reporting Proficiency in French Who is TELUS?
