Senior Technical Business Analyst

BSA is responsible for enabling adjudication requests, limit document change requests and overrun reports across market and liquidity risk teams.

Team leverages Risk Warehouse database, which is Oracle database housing limit and overrun data used by: Trade Floor Risk Management (TFRM) for risk limit monitoring and reporting; Front Office; Various Regulatory/Compliance programs, such as Volcker, FRTB, others.

Key Job Accountabilities Ability to resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of Global Banking & Markets by applying their Capital Markets and technical knowledge to the design of systems solutions, methodologies, and/or processes.

This includes investigation and analysis, accurately and clearly defining requirements and processes, and liaising with the users; Provide production support Work closely with stakeholders to perform gap analysis for enhancements; facilitate requirements gathering and discovery; Perform end to end testing including Functional Testing, Quality Assurance, Systems Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing; Understand data workflows and database structures; Manage, elicit, analyze and document detailed-level business and functional requirements utilizing relevant user stories and artifacts; Effectively communicate and build relationships within the Team as well as all the stakeholders across multiple LOBs.

Work in a dynamic environment with aggressive timelines and multiple projects running simultaneously Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 1 year BA experience gathering requirements, building test cases, executing test and supporting production system.

SQL skills are required Highly motivated and committed, take ownership of deliverables, ability to work independently and in a team setting; Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to manage stakeholder relations, and work with cross-departmental teams Working experience in Agile environment.

Great team player with ‘can-do’ attitude Nice-To-Have: Python knowledge, especially Selenium Familiarity with Linux applications FRM/CFA designation a plus Degrees or certifications: Possesses a university degree or relevant experience Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
