THE ROLE
Fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs are delivered by PSP on Bases, Wings and Units across Canada and in deployed operations. PSP delivers evidence-based programs, which contribute to the health and well-being of the military community and operational effectiveness of the CAF.
Under the supervision of the Sports Coordinator, the Sports Stores Clerk provides administrative services for the sports store and performs general maintenance and repair for the sports and physical fitness equipment. The incumbent assists customers and advises customers on use and care of equipment. They organizes equipment set up and take down. The Sports Stores Clerk issues, receives, marks, and stores equipment, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Experience
In a recreation, fitness facility or similar environment
In providing customer service
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email and Internet browsing
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
