Intersection Safety Camera Officer Tech Enforcement Officer R15 There are currently three (3) temporary opportunities available until 07/30/2022.

There is the possibility of these positions being extended or becoming permanent.

RoadSafetyBC is the lead provincial agency for road safety and is responsible for setting strategic direction and establishing a provincial approach to road safety throughout British Columbia.

RoadSafetyBC regulates drivers and operates a number of programs to help regulate the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles in B.C.

PSSG Intersection Safety Camera Officers (ISCOs) are responsible for charging all Intersection Safety Camera offences within the Intersection Safety Camera Program and for prosecution of those violation tickets in traffic courts around the province.

Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below: Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalent and recent (within the last 3 years) work experience in the areas of law enforcement, public safety, justice sector or security.

Experience working in a regulatory or quasi-judicial environment.

Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, regulations and / or policy.

Preference may be given to candidates with any of the following: Post-Secondary education in a related field such as Criminal Justice or Law.

Proviso / Willingness Statements: Must have valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence or be able to obtain Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence within 3 months after being appointed to the position.

Must pass Enhanced Security clearance to be appointed as Special Constable pursuant to Section 9 of the Police Act.

Must be able to successfully complete Standardized Traffic Control Training.

Travel is a requirement of this position.
