Territory Merchandiser

This is a Full-time position in Sault Ste Marie, ON posted May 12, 2022.

Job description The Territory Merchandiser will report to the Regional Sales Manager and work as an extension of the Territory Sales team to support regional and national accounts through strategic merchandising and support activity.

This position will be based in Sault Ste.

Marie, with additional outreach into Thunder Bay and North Bay area.

As a representative of BZAM Cannabis, the Territory Merchandiser will support sales initiatives through merchandising activities, including pop-up events, product knowledge training sessions, inventory management support, and by working collaboratively with the Regional Sales Manager and Territory Sales Team to identify merchandising and marketing opportunities within an assigned region.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, a passion for all things cannabis, a demonstrated flair for marketing and merchandising, and the ability to maintain and cultivate meaningful customer relationships within a highly regulated market.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Ø Directly support and collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to implement and manage BZAM’s overall merchandising strategy, working closely with the territory sales team to define sales objectives to support BZAMs key customers; Ø Increase brand awareness and brand exposure at the retail level, including budtender and consumer education and product support activity; Ø Implement and executecompany marketing initiatives to drive awareness and sell-through of BZAM products; Ø Support meaningful relationships with customers while delivering a consistently exceptional customer experience in all interactions and transactions; Ø Work with the Regional Sales Manager to implement key account merchandising initiatives; Ø Identify and support product and merchandising needs in-store through effective inventory management; Ø Work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop an effective route plan and merchandising support strategy; Ø Engage with the Territory sales team in support activities as directed by the Regional Sales Manager; and Ø Other duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING: Ø A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or comparable experience working in a merchandising or sales capacity Ø Qualified Cannabis Worker Certified (QCW) & Sell Safe Certified mandatory.

Ø Exceptional organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.

Ø The ability to cultivate relationships with accounts/customers and the ability to provide exceptional customer experiences across all channels.

Ø The motivation to thrive while working independently and remotely.

Ø Previous success in growing brand awareness and brand recognition within a given region Ø Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ø Basic skills with MS Office 365 Ø Access to a vehicle and a valid Provincial Driver’s License with a clean driver abstract; and Ø The ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

YOUR EXPERIENCE: Ø 2+ years’ experience working as a sales representative within the cannabis industry, specifically the retail segment.

Ø The ability to work remotely and independently Ø 2+ years’ experience within a highly regulated industry Ø Experience in CRM solutions and MS Office 365 Ø Effective time management skills Ø Experience working within a start-up environment is preferred.
