THE ROLE
As a Warehouse Clerk, you help support the provision of retail services to a unique client base – members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You manage incoming merchandise in the store, verifying the number and condition of deliveries, and obtaining signatures. You load and unload merchandise and pack/unpack goods. You price merchandise and stock shelves.
The Warehouse Clerk ensures that perishable merchandise is moved to coolers upon receipt and conducts checks on refrigeration units. You assemble and disassemble merchandise, as well as set up displays and signage. You perform routine maintenance and minor repairs and ensure the warehouse is orderly and secure. You clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
A valid driver’s license (Province)
A valid Forklift Operator’s License (Province)
Experience
In shipping and receiving, warehousing and pricing of merchandise
In shelves stocking
In building display
In minor maintenance and repair
In assembling merchandise
In operating and driving vehicles to move, pick up and deliver various products
In operating a forklift
Competencies, Skills and Abilities

This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
